I was inspired by artworks of the whales carrying yellow paper boats, like giving the support the Sewol Ferry deserved. The warm look of the artwork is like the warm assurance for the girl in the artworks and the boat in the background being a faded memory. Additionally, the whale above its eye having the numbers of 0416 and floating above the girl like it’s looking over her life. The judges should know idk

저는 세월호에 관한 작품들 중 고래가 노란 종이배를 끌어주는 모습들에서 영감을 얻었습니다. 마치 세월호 참사도 이처럼 당연히 관심과 응원을 받아야 하는 것 같이요. 작품속에 따뜻한 소녀의 모습을 그려넣어 따뜻함을 표현했고, 배경에는 배를 흐리게 덧칠함으로써 희미해지는 기억을 표현했습니다. 또한 고래의 눈위에 0416을 새겨 넣었고, 소녀위에 떠 있도록 그려, 마치 고래가 소녀의 삶을 바라보고 있는 것처럼 표현하였습니다.
