I made my art with a strong hope in mind. My five butterflies represent the five people who have not been found yet. Before I started making my art, I put myself in the missing people' family' shoes. Would I ever stop waiting for them to come home? I imagine the families are still waiting for them to come home. In my art, a child is holding a grown-up' hand. Everyone who died in this tragedy is someone's special child, even if they were a grown-up. This expresses my feelings of their last moments and how they wanted to hold their parent' hand. I want those five victims to be able to hold their loved one' hands soon. The families never stop waiting. I will remember and my hope is that we all remember and wait for them to come home too.

저는 이 작품에 강한 희망을 품고 임했습니다. 제 작품속 5마리의 나비는 아직 돌아오지 못한 미수습자 5명을 표현했습니다. 이 작품을 시작하기 전, 저는 실종자 가족의 입장이 되어서 생각해보았습니다. "과연 내가 내 가족이 집으로 돌아오기를 기다리는 것을 멈출 수 있을까?" 저는 아직도 미수습자 가족들은 그들이 집에 돌아오기를 기다린다고 생각합니다. 제 작품속에서 아이가 어른의 손을 잡고 있습니다. 이 참사로 희생된 모든 사람은, 아이이던 어린이던, 어떤 이의 특별한 아이였습니다. 그 잡은 손은 마지막 순간에 희생자들이 그들의 부모의 손을 얼마나 잡고 싶었는지를 표현해 줍니다. 미수습자들이 어서 빨리 사랑하는 사람들의 손을 잡기를 바랍니다. 가족들은 기다림을 결코 멈추지 않습니다. 제 소망은 저 뿐만 아니라 다른 모든이도 이 참사를 기억하고 그들이 집에 돌아올때까지 기다리는 것입니다.
